Tomorrowβs Answer in Todayβs being
About this event
π³οΈβπβ¨βTomorrowβs answers in Todayβs beingβ - A Queer Art Showπ¨β¨
An art show about the indian experience of living queer.
It is our absolute delight to bring to you this collection of artists (well, the first bunch of the lovely whole lot) whose works represent the queer experience, their works reflective of the very concept of the show, indiviuals whose lives have, by nature of being, been doused in the delightfully unique experience of being queer and Indian, each to their own extent, and the viewpoints of these minds told through the tales in their art.
β°When : 11am - 5.30pm , 21st June Sunday
πWhere : DakshinaChitra Heritage Museum @dakshinachitra.museum
What does it mean to be queer in India today? Beyond the label, in the many layers. The questions about identity, the weight of culture and society, the everyday nature of simply being.
Here is a day dedicated to that journey. Through documentaries and real conversations, art by queer artists finding themselves on canvas, and performances that speak what words sometimes canβt, we explore what it means to be queer in the here and now. A day where we acknowledge that identity isnβt static, but a continuous, beautiful, complicated process.
Join us to watch and discuss documentaries, soak in art displays & rejoice in live performances.
π³βπ For all the members of the LGBTQIA+ community and their Allies. This oneβs for you!
