After The Act: What should your Allyship look like in the present?
About this event
Over the past few weeks, one thing that has been difficult to sit with has been the relative silence and uncertainty from large sections of cis queer and cishet communities during the protests and advocacy around the Trans Act. While more people are now beginning to understand the gravity of what has happened, there is still a great deal of confusion around what meaningful allyship and accountability should actually look like beyond visibility and performance.
This session is being created as a space for cis queer and cishet individuals to reflect, learn, question, and engage more meaningfully with these realities through conversations guided by a legal and public policy researcher, a queer rights advocate, and a queer affirmative therapist.
